FIERCE KINDNESS

This diary-sized book offers the reader insights and tools for choosing a life of positivity, kindness, and love, doing good in your life so that you may do good in the world, and generally being your most awesome self—so basically, no bad vibes. The subject matter initially suggested vibrant, energetic color to me, and I splashed each chapter with hits of bright tangerine, sky blue, cherry red and grass green, but we later adjusted this palette to instead pick up the more muted tones of the cover art; this cover also served as a reference point for the 20-odd spot illustrations I created for the title, all built around the theme of growing and cultivation. A set of four postcards, which I designed after Fierce Kindness had been selling well for some time, features quotes from the book and a few of my illustrations.
